Constraints and opportunities
After careful consideration about internal and external contraints and opporunities associated with our promotional T-shirt.
Constraints for our product include:
- Some members in our company may not commit and this will cause our group to fall behind and hinder our progress.
- Companies may not support our product idea and turn us down, this will lead to our company needing to find other companies in the community to give us sponsorship.
Opportunities for our product include:
- Some companies may be impressed with our buisness idea and companies may come to us with their money so that we do not need to go and look for sponsors.
- Our company may become world famous with the sucess of our first $10,000 T-shirt.

Marketing
Marketing is essential for our product as it will enable our product to gain recognition arond the community and it is also important for our company as our product is a marketing device which is unique and will gain alot of media attention.
- Product: Our product is a $10,000 Advertising T-shirt in which companies sponsor our product in order for them to achieve community recognition by the unique marketing ploy.
- Place: As our product is an advertising T-shirt the place in which our product will be marketed is very broad. We intend for our product to be worn by teenaged to middle ages people which will allow the product to be seen throughout the community and possibly even around the country.
- Promotion: In order for our product to sucessfully get promoted it will be required of us to build and maintain an active website which enables people to read up and learn the background behind our "Walking Billboard" T-shirts. As well as using internet as a means of promotion we believe that should our product have a sucessfull launch we will also gain media attention which will allow our group to gain further promotional opportunities on radio and possibly even on prime time News.
- Price: Our product requires 10 companies to sponsor us with $1000 each. Although the cost of production has been set at a total of $10,000 we will give away our promotional T-shirts as this will help our product to be launched and distributed sucessfully around the community and possibly even around New Zealand.

Operations
Today we started discussing operations and the Consumer Guarantees Act. Regular operations within our company will be:
- We will constantly need to update our promotional website to ensure that our website informs people in the community who has won our monthly spot prizes and also so the companies that we are marketing getting community recognition. This is important four our company and those that we obtain sponsorship from as it allows all companies to gain a greater community recognition and it also helps us monitor is people wear our T-shirts in the public with our spot prize promotion.
- As well as maintaining our Website we also need to constantly obtain new sponsors in order to keep our website and promotional T-shirts alive. By constantly seeking new sponsors we are enabling many companies in the community to gain recognition and to also help us gain more revenue.
- Once we have sucessfully obtained more companies to provide our company with sponsorship to create out $10,000 T-shirt we will then be required to produce logos for the companies that will be printed onto our T-shirt. This is a vital operation throughout our enterprise venture as if companies are not satisfied with the way their logo has come out on the T-shirt they may withdraw their sponsorship, thus jepordising our business plan.
- Upon finalising our sponsors, confirming sponsor logos to be printed onto our T-shirt we will then be required to obtain a company to screen print our T-shirts. This is another vital operation in our business as there will be no product if we are unable to produce the T-shirt.
- Finally we will be required to constantly distribute the T-shirts that are produced. By distribtuing the T-shirts we are enabling our company and our sponsor companies to gain recognition around the community as the T-shirts will act as "walking billboards" for all the companies.
In consideration to the Consumer Guarantees Act we have come to realise that seeing as our product is being given away for free we a technically not effected by this act. In the spirit of a positive company we have decided that althought by law we are not bound to this Consumer Guarantees Act we will still do everything within reason to ensure that our product is to the best of quality and also to ensure that our product is of a satisfactory standard.

Finances
In order for our product to produced we will need a realistic finance plan to ensure that our product goes according to plan. In order for our product to be produced we will require sponsorship. We believe that if we manage to get 10 companies to sponsor us $1000 each we will be able to produce enough capital to cover prduction costs, advertising and marketing costs and also have surplus money left over to create a profit. We have come up with some estimate figures for the costs that our company will under-go in order to sucessfully produce our advertising T-shirt:
- We believe that in order for our T-shirts to be of a good quality they will cost around $40 each, we plan to produce 100 T-shirts so this will bring our total production cost to $4000.
- Internet advertising will be used as one of our main marketing means to ensure that our product is known and becomes sucessful. We believe that our website domain will cost us $600 over the course of the year and our Web hosting costs will be $120 bringing our total expenditure on website marketing to $720.
- Transport has been estimated to cost our business $500 as we will require petrol to drive around to screen printers to see if they are able to produce our product to a high standard. The transport cost also covers and shipping, postage and courier costs that our company may require during the course of our operation.
- Printing posters and other advertising materials will cost our company $200. This cost is essential for our buisness as it helps us ensure that people are aware of our product and that it is being recognised around the community.
- We believe that in order for people to wear our product we need to provide monthly spot prizes as an incentive for people to wear the T shirts. For this reason we have decided to put an estimate of $1000 to cover these costs.
Capital Requirements:
As we are seeking sponsorship we do not require to invest any money into our business at the start. Pretty smart ay :D
